About Our Client Our Client provides great quality and affordable accommodation in a range of different housing options to fit the needs of their customers as best they can. Job Description This role will include the following duties: Provide Administrative support to the Legal team. Support with the transactions. Be responsible for own caseload of legal cases and assist with team and organisational projects. Help prepare and deliver training sessions, insight reports and briefings on legal principles, procedures and any updates happening within the company. Contribute to and assist in the creation of organisational procedures and end-to-end processes. Carry out legal work required for asset management of a shared ownership property portfolio. Carry out legal work relating to statutory applications made by customers for purchasing their properties (i.e. under "Right to Buy" or "Right to Acquire" legislation). Carry out legal work relating to the strategic asset management of the property portfolio. Carry out legal work required to promote good tenancy management. Carry out legal work required for the shared ownership and private sales of new build properties. Act as an assistant to senior members of the Legal team, including support on legal cases, performance management of the external panel solicitors, document management, and use of technology and new software in connection with the provision of information and documents. Assist with covering cases during periods of absence of other team members. Comply with systems to ensure that all legal cases are logged and processed to ensure a customer-focused service is delivered at all times. The Successful Applicant The ideal candidate will: Have experience or exposure to Legal (1 to 2 years). Have experience with Legal Transactions. Have experience working within a housing association or local authority industry ideally. Have experience managing own legal caseload of similar cases. Have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Have previous and strong legal drafting skills. Have good organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail. Have strong planning skills and be able to prioritise workload well. Have excellent research skills. Be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Be able to develop strong relationships within the Legal team, with clients and other stakeholders. What's on Offer What is on offer: This is a permanent position. This role is part-time, 22 hours a week. Ideally every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but can be flexible. Hybrid working is offered.
