Job description: A law firm in the Wakefield area is looking for a highly motivated Family Locum to join their growing family department, for an initial period of
9 months
with the likelihood of extension. The successful candidate will be available to attend the office on a
hybrid
basis, whilst candidates with either full or part-time availability will be considered. The successful candidate will be: Managing a complex caseload, dealing with anything from fixed-fee divorces to financial disputes Providing legal advice to clients over the phone, via written communication channels, and face to face meetings Taking ownership of a mixed caseload of family matters, undertaking active negotiation and mediation to get the best results for your clients Advising the team on complex legal queries, acting as the subject matter specialist in family law Required skills Qualified as a solicitor / CILEX qualified, with significant post-qualification experience A proven background in family law, with excellent legal technical knowledge Solid knowledge of divorce, separation, financial settlements, cohabitation and children law Hours per Week: Minimum 3 days per week Hourly rate: £40.00 – 50.00 per hour (outside IR35) Venn Group is an equal opportunities employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates.
