Their ideal candidate will be: A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). In–depth technical expertise in financial accounting (UK GAAP, IFRS). Proven experience in leading and managing a finance team. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems. Exceptional analytical and problem–solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in media agencies is advantageous. Digital publishing is advantageous. Higher Education experience is advantageous. No two days working here will be the same, but generally as a Financial Controller you can

expect to be responsible for: Advancing the creation and enforcement of financial controls, policies, and procedures. Collaborating with the Finance Business Partner to enhance financial visibility throughout the organisation. Supervising the generation of precise and punctual financial reports. Evaluating financial data to derive insights on business performance. Overseeing budget management and forecast processes. Managing both internal and external audit activities. Advising on tax and regulatory adherence. Cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships with critical stakeholders, such as financial institutions, investors, and regulatory authorities.
