Technical Sales Engineer Orion is working with a market leader in providing advanced test systems and facilities to the automotive industry. Their range includes e-motor, IC engine, power train, vehicle, and component testing. They design, develop, and manufacture their own products and support them globally. Their customers include Tier 1 Vehicle Manufacturers, Formula One Teams, Marine builders, and Heavy Plant Manufacturers. The Technical Sales Engineer Role: Reporting to the Head of Sales & Applications, the role will require the development of fully costed quotations and technical proposals and the ability to develop both commercial and technical relationships with new and existing clients. The Technical Sales Engineer should be an individual who is self-motivated with technical sales experience and looking to advance their career. Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Engineer: Compile costs for standard products. Collaborate with the teams internally to understand customer requirements and propose appropriate solutions. Although you will be based out of the head office, you may be required to travel throughout the UK and potentially travel overseas. Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, quotes, and responses to RFQs (Request for Quotations). Address customer enquiries and concerns related to product functionality, integration, and technical specifications. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their business needs and challenges. Requirements for the Technical Sales Engineer: Technical Sales/ Sales engineering experience. Ability to plan and organise (self & others). Technically minded with a solution-driven work ethic. Deliver to deadlines consistently.
