Applications from ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged Key Responsibilities: Undertake PPM inspections of the plant, collate findings Complete detailed shift reports Participate in downtime events above 15 minutes to minimise the downtime Undertake plant repairs as and when necessary Monitor performance and engagement of support staff Assistants and Agency workers Monitor H&S compliance across the shift Provide support to baler operators as and when needed Undertake plant spot repairs as required Undertake regular plant repairs as required by OEM manuals Monitor performance of the cleaning team Allocate tasks to assistant team and monitor performance Assume responsibility for Team Leader/Engineering Shift Manager when they are absent Knowledge, skills and qualifications: Essential: Proven experience in on-site mechanical engineering and worked on heavy equipment such as conveyors, motors, bearings, basic fault finding and hydraulics Have completed minimum Level 3 apprenticeship in engineering or similar Have worked to tight schedules Good teamwork skills Great problem-solving skills Able to work to shift patterns Desirables: PLC / electrical skills and qualifications Shifts:
5 x 8 hour shifts per week (Week 1 - 6am-2pm, Week 2 - 2pm to 10pm, Week 3 - 10pm to 6am) Salary:
£45,000 to £50,000 DOE + OT (OTE £55,000) Benefits:
