Mason James are partnered with an industry leading UK food manufacturing business based in the Shropshire area. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on role, managing a team of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers on a 4 on 4 off Night / Day shift.
Salary Circa: £53,200
Key Duties:
Assist management in direct oversight of department's daily operation. Supervise and participate in the completion of the assigned PMs to ensure departmental KPI's. Perform major repair of mechanical and electrical systems. Develop and maintain relations with the Planned Maintenance Manager, Operations, QA / Technical on manufacturing and operational concerns. Supervise the pre-startup of production equipment. Assign, train, develop and supervise work of engineering on shift. Hands on to support the engineers, ensuring all breakdowns and planned repairs are done effectively. Evolve and improve the written PMs to ensure they are effective and give value. Good communication and ability to discuss issues, attain good feedback. Equipment performance and capability to complete production plan and cost savings.
