Our Yacht Services team works with clients, captains and crew, providing an efficient, informed and personal service. We provide a fast-paced, rewarding environment and opportunities to work with a variety of global clients formulating and delivering the most appropriate, long-term solutions for owners of both private and commercial yachts.
Job summary:
To post all yacht expenses timely and accurately, ensuring payments to suppliers are made on time. Making sure bank statements are reconciled daily to ensure we know exactly how much of client funds we have at any point. To provide cover and deputise for the Yacht Accountant & Yacht Payment team members as required, deputising as the point of contact for Owner’s Reps, Captain and anyone else related to our clients/yachts.
Job accountabilities:
Posting purchase invoices
Setting up new vendors, including vendor callbacks to verify details
Checking expenses vs budget
Card and cash reconciliation and reporting
Conducting ‘red flag’ checks and escalating as required
Payments of purchase invoices and recording in the system
Daily, weekly and monthly bank statement reconciliations
Clearing of suspense accounts
Running month-end reporting for the yachts under management, for review by the Yacht Accountant
Sanction checking, using WorldCheck software
Escalating issues to the wider team specialists or management where additional support is required
Being the point of contact for clients/yachts when the Yacht Accountant is not available
Other such duties as may be reasonably expected in support of the Yacht Accountant Management Team
Other Considerations:
Hybrid working, with a minimum of 3 days per week based in the office in London
Travel to the Southampton, Malta and Guernsey offices as required
Meeting with clients/captains on occasion and attendance at boat shows as required
Minimum education and experience:
Desired AAT qualification
Bookkeeping experience
Yachting experience is a bonus but not necessary
Required skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
Good communication skills, written and face-to-face when dealing with captains and clients, particularly keen for someone who would prefer to call rather than email
Comfortable in a fast-moving work environment with tight deadlines and diverse tasks
Attention to detail and accuracy

On-board experience on a yacht, with exposure to expense management is a bonus but not necessary
