Farm Business Consultant - Dorset - £65,000 DOE + Health insurance + Training
The Job:
We are seeking a Farm Business Consultant to join a respected consultancy team supporting agricultural and rural businesses in the South West of England. This hybrid role combines home-based work, on-farm client visits, and occasional office collaboration to deliver expert guidance and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting business appraisals Creating financial plans Analyzing farm accounts to benchmark technical and financial performance Supporting joint ventures and restructuring projects Preparing and submitting planning applications Providing compliance advice for Red Tractor, NVZ, audits, and grants Offering specialist technical advice on dairy, grassland, livestock, and soil nutrition Facilitating farmer discussion groups and managing buying groups The Candidate:
Demonstrable experience in farm business consultancy or a related field Strong IT skills, including fluency with Microsoft Office Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills A proactive approach to supporting clients’ goals, whether growth, consolidation, or restructuring Self-motivated, organised, and flexible mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively You should ideally reside in Dorset, Somerset, or Wiltshire or be willing to relocate to the region The Package: Competitive salary based on experience £35,000 - £65,000 Health insurance and a statutory pension scheme Comprehensive training and professional development opportunities to build new skills and services Please email your CV to Charlotte Powell, Senior Recruitment Delivery Consultant: Cpowell@agriRS.co.uk.
