£19.23 per hour The Employer: We currently have 2 openings to fill as Asbestos Surveyors - Agency, within a housing environment. As well as meeting housing demand, our client aims to enable local companies to recruit the workforce they need from their communities. Their growth strategy will contribute to economic growth and sustain around 7,000 jobs in the building industry and its supply chain. With a plan to increase stock by 5,000 homes over the next 5 years, providing more affordable housing options on a low-cost rent and sale basis, this employer is a much sought-after option, offering benefits and stability alike. The Role: To carry out Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition Surveys in customer properties to enable Client to meet legal requirements. To undertake single and multiple room surveys, roof and job-specific surveys as well as full property management surveys. Preparing for and arranging customer appointments in their homes across allocated work area. Delivering a service to ensure all properties are meeting legal requirements, providing a high-quality level of care. The Candidate will need: To hold a BOHS P402. To hold a BOHS P405. To hold a degree in a role-related subject. To have a CIOB/CIH/RICS equivalent qualification in property surveying. Confidence in literacy and numeracy skillset. Experience in carrying out relevant surveys. An advanced level of knowledge regarding Health and Safety and Asbestos legislation. Experience in a similar role would be advantageous. Experience of Decent Homes Standard and Housing H&S Rating System. SUMMARY: Working hours are 37 a week, Monday – Friday. Expected Length of Contract is ASAP to end of February 2025. A Basic or Enhanced DBS check is required. A full driving licence is essential for this position. A company vehicle will be provided.
