We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in various commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to identify and report on potential hazards and compliance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments. Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment. Identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards. Provide clear and concise reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions. Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices. Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice. Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as required. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times. Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain and enhance technical skills.

Key Requirements: A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field. City & Guilds qualification in Inspection and Testing (or equivalent). NVQ Level 3. 18th Edition. In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes. Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and software for reporting. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Valid UK driving licence (or equivalent, depending on location).
