Job Description Strategy Development : Devise and lead strategies to drive profitability and growth of the online and ecommerce functions. Team Leadership : Manage and lead the online team, ensuring effective collaboration with in-house marketing, customer service, IT, purchasing, and finance teams. Website Management : Develop and maintain B2B and B2C websites, hosted on Magento 2 and WordPress platforms, implementing increased content and changing pricing initiatives. Digital Trading Plan : Manage and extend the company's digital trading plan, including operations on Amazon Seller Central, eBay marketplace, and the Fulfilled by Amazon channel. Digital Marketing : Understand the digital marketing and ecommerce landscapes to identify and implement new online sales opportunities. Project Oversight : Identify opportunities and oversee development projects, sometimes using external agencies, devising comprehensive briefings for effective software build and solutions. Performance Analysis : Analyse and monitor the digital performance of websites to optimise functionality against key metrics, producing updated KPI reports for the senior management team. Budgeting and Forecasting : Handle budgeting and forecasting for online sales, managing costs and reporting ROI to key stakeholders. CRM Strategy : Drive the CRM strategy and devise initiatives to increase repeat order rates and customer retention, alongside managing existing subscription enrolment incentives. Collaborative Planning : Work collaboratively with internal purchasing and marketing teams, and external suppliers, to ensure product data is accurate and optimised for online promotional activities. The Successful Applicant The successful candidate for the Head of E-Commerce role will possess a blend of strategic vision and hands-on expertise. Here are the key attributes and qualifications: Experience : Proven experience in e-commerce management and digital trading, with a track record of rapid online sales growth in a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills : Proficiency in managing ecommerce websites on the Magento 2 platform, along with solid knowledge of PPC, SEO, email, and affiliate digital marketing channels. Analytical Mindset : Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use customer data to drive strategy and achieve growth. Proficiency in Google Analytics and Microsoft Excel is essential. Leadership : Demonstrable experience in leading and managing a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Project Management : Experience in agile project management and managing external agencies, with the ability to oversee development projects and ensure effective software solutions. Customer Focus : Understanding of UX principles and best practices in an ecommerce environment, with a focus on enhancing customer experience and retention. Strategic Thinking : Ability to devise and implement strategies for online profitability and growth, while being comfortable with a hands-on approach to tasks. Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Adaptability : Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and implement automated processes to improve response times. Results-Driven : A results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving key performance metrics and driving overall business success.
