What You Will Do: Lead projects associated with lean processes, global market understanding, tools, and systems. Design and develop solutions, collaborate with senior stakeholders and business users to collect VOB/VOC, business requirements, and prepare implementation plans for successful deployment. Contribute to strategic initiatives such as the development of standardized best practices, offerings, services and development of associated tools & training. Serve as the lead technical representative for a respective discipline (Project Management) and work directly with a wide range of Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain and Product Management representatives, including presenting recommendations to senior leaders. What You Have: Data-driven Decision Making: Knowledge of the data-driven decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to gather and analyze data to make organizational decisions that align with strategic business objectives and goals. Applies an assigned technique for data-driven thinking in a Decision-Making process. Discerns between "signal" and "noise" when interpreting data. Identifies, obtains, and organizes relevant data and ideas. Participates in the process of choosing KPIs and metrics to influence decisions. Utilizes the basic data collection and evaluation tools and techniques. Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives. Provides input for Gantt or PERT charts or their equivalent to track project progress and status. Under guidance, plans and estimates simple projects. Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements. Obtains information from stakeholders during the planning stage of a project. Produces standard project status reports. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner. Describes qualities of effective and ineffective negotiations. Explains the basic concepts of negotiating. Accesses organizational policies and practices for negotiating. Utilizes techniques for establishing rapport and building trust. Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems. Names specific tools or techniques that can be used to support the analytical thinking process. Describes specific software applications or products used for business analytics. Gives examples of how analytical thinking has been used to resolve problems. Helps others research and learn more about business analytics tools and applications. Cost-Benefit Analysis: Knowledge of the principles and tools used in cost-benefit analysis; ability to analyze the purpose and scope of a producer, product, process, or project in terms of cost and benefits. Describes common factors used in determining the costs of a request. Identifies key components and contents of a cost-benefit analysis document. Explains basic concepts of cost-benefit analysis. Compiles a list of factors to consider in determining the benefits of a request. Procurement: Knowledge of buying and procurement; Ability to work with organizational strategies and practices, and use tools for buying goods, supplies, equipment and services needed to conduct business. Works with the procurement of services, materials or equipment. Follows established procedures, documentation requirements and approval level requests to conduct procurement activities. Interprets benefits, issues and considerations of using e-procurement. Uses available procurement systems and tools in transactions with approved suppliers. Assists in reviewing the fulfillment of administrative and documentation requirements for the completion of purchase. The role will also bring exposure to all business functions (Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance) thus helping to build strong business acumen crucial for enabling high performance within role.
