The role
Working in a team environment, the
IT Project Manager
will be responsible for supporting customer engagements, ensuring projects meet scope, timeline & milestones, budget and quality expectations, through planning, controlling and handling projects aligned to the SoftwareOne Project Delivery Framework (named pmONE) and the agreed delivery methodology alongside any other processes or procedures related to any particular project’s delivery. The IT Project Manager will lead and support the project team (consisting of i.e. architects, technical consultants, analysts, SAM specialists etc.). In addition, the Project Manager is responsible for handling corporate, customer and third-party vendor efforts to plan and implement SoftwareOne solutions. Oversees project planning, organization, management, and communication within set time, cost, and quality limits Lead assigned customer projects (small to medium size) and supporting the delivery leads Facilitates project documentation development, resource identification, and core team meetings for risk review and project monitoring Creates regular status reports and distributes them accordingly Handles and controls costs to drive financially healthy projects Identifies and develops new opportunities within current project supporting early qualification and opportunity assessment Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, efficiency, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems Provides training and support to the project team, promoting knowledge sharing and reuse requirements of project Responsible for leading corporate, customer and third-party vendor efforts to plan and implement SoftwareOne solutions Runs first level to midlevel client delivery relationships and resolves disagreements Will work with Practice Project Managers in project risk management and delivery of projects Tracks project activities like: Schedule Management, Cost Management, Risk & Issues Management, Meeting Management and Change Management Works with Business team on presales activities and getting the scope finalized as required Promotes pmONE services to practice leads/country managers when required
What we need to see from you
Relevant Experience Number of years experience in a Project Management role and holding a PMP/Prince 2 Practitioner certification Experience, preferably from a Systems Integrator or a large service organization (ability to handle internal as well as external resources), implementing sophisticated IT solutions Technical Skills Have used and gained experience using a project management tool or solution as part of project delivery Understands and has practiced PMP, PMI or Prince2-based project methodologies Has experience of project financial accounting Language skills #LI-CD1

What we need to see from you
