Our client is a leading independent advisory firm with a world-renowned Secondary Advisory team, specialising in facilitating transactions in the private equity secondary market and is looking to hire an Associate into the team to help further the growth and development in the market.

As an Associate, you will specialise and play a pivotal role in supporting the execution of secondary transactions across both the GP-led and LP-Portfolio space. You will work closely with senior team members to conduct due diligence, and contribute to the successful closure of deals, whilst also having direct external client contact. Your financial acumen, analytical skills, commercial capabilities and strong attention to detail will be crucial in driving the team's success.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in the due diligence process, including preparing investment memos and financial models. Collaborate with senior team members to develop transaction structures and negotiate terms. Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing secondary investments in the portfolio. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, secondary buyers, and other key stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. CFA is a plus. At least two and a half years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, or secondary advisory. Due to the nature of the role, someone with prior experience interacting with GPs or a demonstrable interest in learning more about the product. Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think creatively and solve complex problems. A passion for the private equity industry and a genuine interest in secondary markets.
