Your Role and What You'll Be Doing As the leading clinical and medical negligence law firm in the UK, we know how to make a positive difference to our clients' lives. Our experienced medical negligence solicitors take the time to understand what clients are going through, helping them get the answers and compensation they deserve. Our clinical negligence team has extensive experience in clinical negligence claims arising from obstetric, neonatal, anaesthetic, neurosurgical, cardiac and psychiatric care. You'll join Zoe Brodrick, Legal Director who manages a team of lawyers in our Sheffield office who specialise in limited value national medical negligence cases. The team deals with all different types of negligence such as missed fractures, delays in diagnosis, negligent surgical procedures, and fatal cases involving adults and children. Your role will involve but is not limited to: Taking instructions from clients and assist with the giving of legal advice, including obtaining evidence and, where appropriate, assist with litigation, to achieve appropriate resolutions for the clients. Case handling limited value medical negligence cases. Achieve time recording and fee income targets to ensure profitable working. Support more senior case handlers generally in the running of the cases. Attend and contribute to team/practice area meetings and comply with directions/decisions made to ensure team objectives achieved. Keep up to date with changes in relevant law and practice and attend appropriate training events to ensure up to date legal knowledge and best practice. About You Empathy and compassion to help guide our clients through challenging personal circumstances. A friendly, enthusiastic and can-do approach. Some experience of working as a Paralegal. Enthusiasm in building on your career as a Paralegal. There is a requirement to attend our Sheffield office around two/three days a week.
