Finance Graduate - Newcastle

Calling Graduates! Do you have a passion for Finance? Are you motivated to solve problems and work with others to find solutions? Have you got a growth mindset and a hunger to learn? Are you looking for an opportunity to kickstart your career with a three-year Graduate Programme that offers industry leading training and mentoring? How about gaining experience at a global FTSE 100 listed software company that has big growth ambitions? Welcome to Sage. We want to hear from individuals with interests in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Mathematics. Bring your passion along with curiosity, plus an eagerness to collaborate and innovate and you’ll find support to help you grow at every turn. You’ll work alongside experts that are at the top of their field, helping you gain a range of practical and technical skills to really develop your knowledge and experience. This is a hybrid role three days per week in our Newcastle office. Key Responsibilities

What will the Programme look like? This 3-year graduate programme provides a unique opportunity to be supported by Sage through a professional CIMA qualification whilst learning on-the-job how these studies relate to a variety of Finance roles in a fast-paced software business. Throughout the scheme, you will complete three placements within different areas of Sage’s finance team to gain valuable insight into a broad range of roles. Building your network across the business, you’ll be ideally placed to set you up for success in Finance at Sage and beyond. You will develop your technical accounting skills, supporting analytics, processing transactions, and supporting the preparation of reports. Alongside these technical skills, you’ll also work closely with a wide range of stakeholders both inside and outside of Sage, so will have the opportunity to develop your communication and influencing skills. Whilst gaining unrivalled hands-on experience, your studies will help underpin your knowledge, and you’ll be coached and mentored to really set your career on the right path. The successful candidate will be keen to self-develop, enthusiastic and look to thrive in an inclusive and supportive environment. What will make you successful?

We’re open to different degree disciplines, however you’ll ideally have 2:1 or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Mathematics, or any degree with a demonstrated interest and passion. The following skills will also help you thrive in role: Keen interest in pursuing a career in Finance. Innovative and analytical mindset. Adaptability and flexibility. Teamworking and collaboration. Desire to learn and make an impact. Communication skills. What can you expect from the process?

Apply online with CV/Resume. Complete a gamified science-driven assessment via Harver, to help us accurately assess if you’re aligned to our values and behaviours, whilst removing any risk of unconscious bias from our process. If you match the profile, you'll be sent a video interview to record. If your video interview is successful, you’ll be invited to a Virtual Assessment Centre. Successful candidates will join our Graduate Programme on 1st September 2025. As we receive a high volume of applications, you may receive a delayed response to your video interview. We thank you for your patience. About Sage
