What You’ll Be Doing As a Pharmacy Technician in our Clinical Support Team, you’ll provide vital support to patients and the clinical team, ensuring safe and effective medication use. Your day-to-day tasks will include responding to patient inquiries, liaising with GPs, and assisting in managing medication-related incidents. You’ll also help maintain documentation, support process improvements, and ensure all administrative tasks are completed to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities Patient Communication : Respond to patient inquiries via email and phone, offering clear guidance on medication use, side effects, and storage. Provide advice on adherence strategies and resolve general medication-related concerns. Medication Management : Support patients in understanding changes to prescriptions or dosages. Liaise with GP surgeries to address concerns and gather necessary information. Incident and Error Support : Assist in managing and resolving medication-related incidents or errors. Collaborate with team leads to investigate issues and implement preventative solutions. Clinical Team Support : Work closely with the pharmacist team to ensure seamless communication and patient care. Help create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and best practices for medication management. Administrative Duties : Maintain accurate patient records in line with company policies and regulations. Track and manage tasks related to medication queries, incidents, and GP liaison to ensure timely resolution. What We’re Looking For Qualifications and Experience : Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Proven experience in a community, hospital, or online pharmacy setting. Strong knowledge of medication management and pharmaceutical regulations. Skills : Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for patients. Strong organisational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks. Problem-solving mindset with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in pharmacy-related software and systems.
