Patient Experience Service Assistant MPA are currently recruiting a Service Assistant for our public service client based in and the greater Belfast area. The Patient Experience Department is a division of HR & Corporate Affairs Directorate providing Catering, Environmental Cleaning, Portering, Laundry, Smoke Free, Security, and Car Parking Services for a variety of locations within the Trust. The Service Assistant, who is part of the Patient Experience Team, supports Medical and Nursing staff in providing a comprehensive range of high-quality, customer-focused service to patients, Trust staff, and visitors. The Service Assistants will carry out a wide range of tasks relating to Patient Experience and will be allocated various tasks as appropriate from those detailed below. Location

– 30 hours per week (6.45am – 12.45pm Monday – Friday) Salary
- £11.45 per hour Key Duties: Patient movement Waste collection Delivery / collection of stores / mail / food / specimens Bleep calls Periodic cleaning Furniture Floor maintenance Kitchen cleaning Sanitary areas Patient areas Office areas General / clinical waste Making beds Removal / re-hanging curtains Laundry services Making up Soft Packs/Decontamination Services Special cleans Preparation of food and beverages Food service Dish washing Cash handling Temperature controls Car parking Site checks Handle incidents Dealing with alarms Escort duties Reception services Dealing with enquiries – recording information Essential Criteria: Hold a current full driving licence with Category B/B1 valid for use in the UK. Candidates must be aged 18 or over and must have at least two years previous experience in a security role. Desirable Criteria: Basic numeracy & literacy skills such as the ability to read, write and follow written instructions. Ability to use initiative.
