We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Doncaster, a

category B Mens Prison located in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. In this role you will have the opportunity to provide the highest standards of healthcare to our patients, without having to compromise on efficiency and quality. Hours The core working hours are Mon Fri (8:00 - 16:00). However, you will be expected to work one late shift (14:00 - 20:30) & every other Sat (12:00 - 18:30). This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £53,172 per annum - depending on experience. How will we support you? Qualifications & Experience

Registered nurse

Mental Health or Adult Nurse RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake Experience of working with opiate dependent patients Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment. Job responsibilities

As a Senior Nurse, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planning. You will deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing model. You must be able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users. You will monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers. You will work with individuals on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and information. You will support in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions. You will occasionally be required to support dispensing. You must have an understanding and commitment to recovery and a person-centred approach. You will also encourage patient involvement in regime and therapeutic activities and create a physical and psychological environment conducive to high-quality care. You will assess individuals' health needs using an evidence-based framework and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness appropriate to the service users' needs in accordance with evidence-based practice, national and PPG protocols. You will contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to: Provide

outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Deliver

non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries. You will play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patients' care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding. Inspire
