Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our market leading manufacturing client with their search for a Production Engineer.

Job Purpose: A key role within the business managing the whole production process, making sure everything runs smoothly and effectively. Making key improvements to manufacturing processes throughout the business. Full responsibility for a number of manufacturing processes within the business including: CNC Routing, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Welding, Powder Coating and Electrical Assembly.

Key Duties:

Ownership/Continuous improvement of existing machines/processes. Selection of new assembly processes/techniques. Specification/Development of new equipment/tooling. Defining new and existing production procedures, finding ways to reduce costs and maximise efficiency while maintaining product quality. Train staff in new and existing processes. Collaborate with design engineers and management in developing new manufacturing processes and technologies. Machine/process introduction including: Supplier selection, Ergonomics, PFMEA, Concept Design, Cycle time achievement and reduction, Factory layout, Technical files and operating instructions, Support for production and Maintenance teams. Resolving Quality Issues highlighted by shop floor and seeking corrective actions via Purchasing from suppliers as required. Liaise with other departments as required if design or BOM changes are required. Generating Installation documents for New Products and SOP's for existing products ideally with ability to work with 3D models to generate literature.

Key Requirements: Minimum of HNC/HND Standard or equivalent. Min 5 years' experience in similar industry or some automotive experience preferred. Technical background, with hands-on experience in designing and setting up production lines for new processes. Software knowledge (MS Office, 2D and 3D CAD, Ideally SolidEdge).

The Package: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience. Paid overtime. Working Hours are 9am - 5pm Mon-Fri - can be flexible on this. Company Pension. 25 days holiday. 6 month Probationary Period. #J-18808-Ljbffr
