Service Engineer
Salary: £30 - 40k, depending on experience
Job Specification for Service Engineer
Reporting to the General Manager of Flow Technology Services.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Salary: £30 to £40K per annum depending on experience. This will be paid monthly, in arrears.
Bonus scheme based on company targets.
Company van and all necessary tools provided.
Overtime payable at standard rates.
Holidays: 24 personal days plus the 8 statutory days.
Auto enrolment pension scheme - 5% from the employee and 3% from the company.
Full training will be provided both in-house and by the manufacturers we represent.
Main Duties:
Servicing and repair of valves, actuators, pumps, and screens both on site and in our workshop.
Commissioning and installation of valves, actuators, pumps, and screens.
Troubleshooting and warranty work on site or in the workshop.
Using our WorkPal systems to provide service and commissioning reports.
Providing risk assessments and method statements in advance of commencing work on site.
Working in accordance with health and safety rules.
Assembly and setup of new equipment for supply either in our workshop or on site.
Providing our sales department with site assessments and costings to enable us to quote for future projects.
Skills & Experience:
Full clean driving licence.
Experienced mechanical fitter or electrician with commercial/heavy industrial site work experience.
Previous experience with pumps, actuators, or valves would be a distinct advantage.
If candidate is an electrician, competence with 3 phase and PLC programs would be an advantage.
If candidate is an electrician, mechanical knowledge/skills would be an advantage.
18th Edition certified and SparkSafe LtP (License to Practise) registered.
Excellent computer and communication skills.
