GPW Recruitment is excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Civil Design Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy delivering cutting-edge projects in the energy and utility sectors. With the flexibility to choose between a contract or permanent role, this position offers competitive rates and the chance to work on high-impact National Grid infrastructure projects.

The Role As a Civil Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering National Grid projects such as substations, access roads, underground cables, drainage systems, and renewable energy installations. You will prepare designs, conduct site surveys, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions that comply with National Grid standards, BS, and Eurocodes. You will also provide technical support during the construction phase to resolve any design-related challenges.

What We're Looking For A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline). Proven civil engineering design experience, ideally within the energy or power sectors. Familiarity with National Grid specifications, processes, and standards. Strong knowledge of BS and Eurocodes. Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel nationwide.
