The company and product are unique on the South Coast and the role would suit a Technical Designer from a fast-track fit-out or refurbishment background. JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Title: Technical Designer PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: To develop creative concepts and turn them into working and buildable drawings. You will be responsible for checking compliance with current legislation where applicable, working with structural engineers where required, and designing accordingly. You will work closely with the original concept designer to ensure we don't lose the 'magic' in the designs. You will work closely with the estimating team to ensure we stay on budget and value engineer without losing quality or playability. A driven, self-motivated approach is always essential along with a 'can-do' attitude. You will have a general commercial understanding and represent the company in a professional and proactive manner in all dealings with those associated with and affected by the building projects. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Technical Designer's responsibilities will then consist of, but are not limited to the following:

Develop creative concepts and turn them into working drawings. Work with structural engineers where required and design accordingly. Work closely with the original concept designer. Work closely with the estimating team to ensure we stay on budget with each project. Look for value engineering opportunities where possible. Create and develop a library of standard designs. BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE: Ideally looking for someone from an Architectural background who has used AutoCAD, Solidworks, Sketchup, or Revit Design Software.
