Procurement Leader
Based in Barrow in Furness (2 days per fortnight)
£35.95 an hour Umbrella OR £31.67 PAYE Inside IR35
14 Month Contract initially.
Responsibilities:
Leading and managing a small team in strategic procurement. Project management and sourcing experience required. Management of major contracts. Infrastructure procurement management. Managing supplier relations with monthly site visits to Scotland. Stakeholder management and reporting at appropriate levels. Ensuring resource allocation, training, and development of team members. Developing and implementing procurement strategies. Promoting cross-functional collaboration for contracting strategies. Overseeing supplier assessment and due diligence activities. Delivering value for money through commercial activities. Concluding negotiations for optimized business outcomes. Supporting team members with commercial contract aspects. Reporting cost savings and conducting ongoing cost analysis. Producing mitigation and exploitation plans for risks and opportunities. Maintaining accurate procurement activity records in SAP and eDMS / Teamcenter. Reviewing supplier performance against quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel; SAP experience advantageous. In-depth knowledge of in-scope products/services. Knowledge of nuclear safety and environmental impact. Understanding of supplier operations to optimize services. Experience managing a team of procurement professionals. CAM duties as delegated by Manager. Experience in a similar role is essential.
