Full-time (school hours) - Monday - Friday Teaching Personnel are seeking a qualified Science teacher on behalf of a local school to fill their vacant position for a Science teacher, preferably with a Biology specialism. The school is a mainstream secondary school (ages 11-18) in a small area of the County of Bridgend. This local school provides high-quality education to 750+ pupils, rated ‘good’ in their latest Estyn inspection (2018). The school site is accessible by public transport; however, it is easiest accessed by car - the school has SOME onsite staff parking. Responsibilities and Requirements:

Deliver high-quality, well-planned lessons to KS3 & 4, with the potential to teach KS5. Ability to teach a combination of practical and theory science lessons to provide an engaging and enriching curriculum to pupils of all ages and abilities. Provide excellent learning opportunities for learners of all abilities, showing differentiation for ALN & MAT pupils. Experience of working with ALN is desirable but not essential – relevant training can be provided. Work alongside other staff in the department and wider school to update and produce curriculum materials. Have excellent communication skills, being able to work closely and professionally with children in a classroom environment. Be an inspirational and motivational classroom practitioner who demonstrates the school values consistently. Perform staff duties as per the school’s policies. QTS is essential.
