We are looking for an innovative, forward-thinking clinician who has a background in Advanced Nurse practice and is an independent non-medical prescriber or working towards this qualification. You will have experience as a leader and working autonomously under your own initiative, responding to rapidly changing service priorities within a primary and acute care setting. You will be expected to perform comprehensive assessments of patients with urgent presentations and develop working diagnoses and treatment plans whilst working without direct supervision. As a Lead Nurse, you will be a highly visual, dynamic, forward-thinking Nurse with excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills, and the ability to motivate and support others through change and service development. You will be working clinically and have responsibility for line management by leading, monitoring, developing, and appraising staff and learners. You will also provide professional guidance, leadership, and direction to the nursing teams across the organisation. You may be required to travel to different sites across the Essex, Suffolk, and Tendring area. Main duties of the job

You will play an integral role in the operational and strategic developments of the service across the UCRs pathway, by working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, ACPs, Operational Clinical Matron, Service Manager, and Senior Leadership Team to ensure the team is empowered and skilled in the delivery of outstanding care to service users across the pathway. You will be supported in your development as an advanced practitioner by a mentor and a robust appraisal process, with allocated time for continuing professional development. You must hold a relevant qualification with community experience or other comparable/transferable skills. You should have a good understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation and treatment methods used in this specialist field and be adaptable to change and embrace innovation. The IUCRS team is a multi-disciplinary team based in Kennedy House Clacton-On-Sea, with other bases in Colchester. Our team delivers high-quality care, 08:00 - 20:00, 7 days a week within the Northeast Essex community. We will offer individually tailored induction, training, and support for successful candidates. Education and Qualifications

Registered nurse recorded on NMC register or HCPC. Professional knowledge and skills underpinned by theory and experience, acquired through degree supplemented by specialist training, experience in specialist field. Consultation and diagnostics relevant to area of practice with evidence of appropriate qualification and registration. Evidence of ongoing CPD. Specialist skills relevant to care group. Skills/Abilities

Supervise the delivery of care to patients presenting with a range of urgent care conditions. Sound analytic and judgement skills. Use Word, PowerPoint, email, Excel, and Access (or similar spreadsheet or database packages). Ability to manage a team. Good communication skills both written and verbal. Knowledge

Sound knowledge of a broad range of assessments including those relevant to the specialist care group and the relative benefits of each. Excellent knowledge of a range of advanced therapeutic interventions relevant to the care group including the relative benefits of each and the comparative outcomes. Awareness of national guidance relevant to own specialties, including consent issues, and other legal frameworks relating to care group. Understanding of the roles of other professionals. Excellent knowledge of current evidence-based practice. Experience

Proven experience working with relevant care group. Competencies relevant to care group. Experience of managing complex and/or highly specialist cases. Experience of managing and supervising the work of others. Other Qualities

Understanding and commitment to ESNEFT's mission and values. Professional and empathetic manner. Ability to deal with distressing and unpleasant circumstances.
