MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their Engineering team with Civil Engineers. This position will be working for Thames Water in Maple Lodge. You will provide superior quality Engineering Design services to allow the company to minimise risks and maximise profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts. In order to ensure the above, the individual must co-ordinate the design and produce civil design documents and drawings taking due account of health and safety requirements, specifications and standards pertaining to the contract. You will report directly to the Civil Discipline Lead and the responsibilities will include: Drive development and carry out review of civil and structural 3D engineering models. Drive production and carry out review of construction quality civil layouts and structure general arrangement drawings which are cost-effective, meet the requirements of the specification, and which can be constructed, maintained, commissioned, and demolished safely. Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the discipline. Resource planning and responsibility for project delivery within budget and programme. Coordination of designs with other disciplines and use of resources both internal and external. Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts. Provide supervision of civil design staff. Provide support to help develop staff. Ensure designs take account of environmental issues. Ensure that design takes full regard of all health and safety requirements. Assist in improving processes and procedures.
