An exciting opportunity arises for an innovative and motivated Allied Health Professional to work with our award-winning children's community health services in Rochdale. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic leader for our children's therapy services which includes Occupational Therapy, Physio Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and our new multi-agency Neuro Diversity Hub. Our community services work in an integrated model which means our therapy services work alongside health visitors, school nurses, community paediatricians and specialist nursing to meet the needs of children, young people and families in our borough.

The office is based at Callaghan House but the post holder will be expected to work from and travel across various community sites within the borough.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for overseeing the operational management, recruitment, appraisal, supervision, training, CPD and disciplinary issues for staff within the therapy services. To ensure the implementation and compliance with organisational policies across the services. To monitor and manage a devolved budget. Work innovatively to develop services to meet patients' needs, manage demand and meet national/local strategic drivers. It is a requirement of senior leads to support the Rochdale Care Organisation Senior Manager on Call rota. This will be added to the role following a period of induction and training ensuring the candidate is appropriately trained and supported to carry out the role.
