Senior Business Intelligence Developer

to join the Gregory Group Technology Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make your own within the Gregory Group and a critical role in supporting the ongoing digital transformation across our business. The position of Senior Business Intelligence Developer involves: Leading on the design, build, delivery and continuous improvement of insightful business intelligence solutions using modern (BI) tools, technologies and methods - primarily using Power BI. Contributing to the ongoing maintenance and support of pre-existing traditional reporting solutions in SQL/SSRS, including the consolidation of these and phased migration of them to more modern solutions. Working with stakeholders at all levels to understand business challenges, opportunities or requirements and combined with an understanding of our data, translating these into visually impactful BI solutions which provide actionable insights to our people. Building, curating, cleansing and segmenting datasets from multiple source systems for use in BI and reporting solutions. Contributing to BI development standards to ensure standard and consistent approaches to dashboard design is enforced throughout the team. Peer reviewing and supporting other members of the team. Supporting day-to-day performance, maintenance and monitoring of our data and BI platforms. Consulting as part of project processes to define reporting and BI requirements, suggesting enhancements as appropriate. Highlighting opportunities based on your understanding of the business and knowledge of our data for where reporting, analytics or BI solutions can help to improve business performance. Essential Skills required: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar business intelligence role and using modern BI tools. Some Power BI experience is essential, but experience of other BI tools also considered as part of the minimum requirement. Excellent SQL and data management skill required. Highly motivated with a curiosity to understand business process and problems to identify opportunities. Critical thinking and analytical mindset to problem solving. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Full UK driving licence as occasional travel between Gregory Group locations may be required. Desirable Skills: Experience using modern and cloud-based (Azure) data management tools and storage/data lake solutions would be an advantage. Why Gregory Distribution? Salary for Senior Business Intelligence Developer is from 48,000pa - 53,000pa, dependant on experience Hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:30hrs to 17:00hrs.
