Audit & Assurance

service line where you'll gain valuable commercial insights into how organisations operate and the challenges they face. Your responsibilities will grow as you progress through the programme, with the potential to supervise other trainees by your second year. What does our Audit & Assurance team do? Our Audit & Assurance teams carry out a detailed, risk-based review of a company’s financials to determine whether the financial statements are an accurate reflection. We look to challenge the financial operations of a company and help to improve the internal processes of a business. This is critical in today’s business world as its financial statements are one of only a small number of documents that a company will place into the public domain, and a quality audit gives confidence in what is delivered to all stakeholders. What do we look for? We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy a challenge, and we welcome applicants with a minimum of a 2:2 undergraduate degree in any discipline, 2 x A levels (A-C) and one other A level or equivalent 5 GCSEs grades A*- C or 9-4 (Maths and English Language preferred) or equivalent. Audit is a technically demanding discipline, so it’s important that students can grasp new subjects quickly. You don’t have to be a maths genius but it’s important you are confident with numbers and have good attention to detail. You’ll often need to explain complex financial information, so you’ll also need excellent written and verbal communication skills.

If that sounds like you then you could be a great fit at Menzies. What can we offer? Dress for your day policy. Opportunity to buy and sell annual leave. At Menzies LLP, we believe in empowering individuals from all backgrounds to thrive in their careers. If you're ready to launch your career in Audit & Assurance and be part of a diverse and inclusive team, apply now for our Summer intake. Help us shape a brighter future for auditing.
