An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Accountant to support a high-profile project within the marine and subsea sector. This role is available on an initial 6 month fixed term with the potential for extension.
The Project Accountant will take responsibility for overseeing the financial management of a key project, ensuring compliance with contract terms, maintaining robust financial controls, and managing client funding processes. Working closely with project stakeholders, procurement teams, and external auditors, the role offers variety and challenge in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring client funding processes align with contract terms and timelines. Managing accurate and timely month-end close processes. Maintaining a rolling financial forecast for the project. Collaborating with Procurement and Contracts Teams to reflect payment terms in cash flow. Overseeing customer invoicing, ensuring compliance with contract requirements. Preparing weekly cash forecasts and supporting external audit requirements. Acting as the finance point of contact for in-country tax requirements. What We’re Looking For
Strong accounting experience in project-driven environments, ideally within the marine, subsea, or similar sectors. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (preferably Navision/Microsoft Dynamics NAV). Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
