One Broker (part of the Jensten Group) are pleased to be recruiting an additional Account Handler to join our existing Commercial Broking team in Norwich.
Our friendly Commercial team is made up of 8 colleagues who sit in a wider broking office of around 70 + people. We offer a range of Commercial insurance products for organisations operating in a diverse range of sectors, meaning you will gain fantastic exposure to an array of policies. Having doubled their income over the last 2 years, the team is very successful and are now looking for another employee to help them to achieve their growth plans.
This is a perfect opportunity for candidates looking to develop a rewarding career within the Commercial Broking sector. As a Trainee, you will be given full support and training to learn about our Commercial products and be able to advise a multitude of Clients on their business insurance needs.
Initially working full time in the office, a blend of office and home working will be available in line with the company smart working policy on completion of probation. Please note that we offer free on-site car parking.
Key objectives & responsibilities will include:
Checking new policy documentation for accuracy and forwarding to clients or liaising with insurers
Negotiating and inviting renewal of allocated client’s policies
Ensuring all Client records reflect the current risk on cover at all time including accuracy of sums insured, perils, excesses, extensions and exclusions
Provide support for Senior Account Executives as and when required in obtaining new business quotations and arranging cover
Processing mid-term adjustments and quarterly declarations
Dealing with clients’ day to day enquiries on a daily basis, responding promptly and managing expectations
Maintaining effective diary system
Liaising with Claims dept over claims queries / reports
About You
As a Trainee Account Handler you will need to have strong customer service skills, the ability to multi-task and good time management skills.
Other skills/requirements:
GCSE level Maths and English at grade C and above
A desire to work towards CII Qualifications (essential)
A good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
A sincere interest in developing a career within the insurance/broking sector
Work experience in a professional Office environment (advantageous but not essential)
