Financial Controller - Family Office - Sheffield
Axon Moore are supporting a privately owned / family office firm near Sheffield in the appointment of a Financial Controller.
The Financial Controller will work closely with the CEO supporting the fund to enable new investments / M&A opportunities, as well as manage the existing portfolio of businesses.
This is a highly entrepreneurial organisation and the Financial Controller will be instrumental in forming a close partnership with the CEO to manage the fund and their existing portfolio.
The key responsibilities of this role will include:
Supporting the CEO / Owner with growth and investment initiatives, assessing business cases and conducting high level analysis into potential business acquisitions Manage the day to day portfolio of businesses, ensuring all accounts are managed and filed in accordance with statutory requirements Ensure appropriate MI and data are fit for purpose and enable effective financial management of the businesses Carrying out financial management of a range of family trusts Working with a wide range of stakeholders including banks, tax advisors, auditors etc Manage all aspects of taxation (VAT, Corporation Tax) The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following background and experience:
Qualified accountant (qualified by experience) with a strong track record in Financial Controllership roles, ideally with SMEs that have some private or family ownership Experience of managing personal finances for high net worth individuals would be an advantage Experience of statutory accounting, taxation and management accounting would all be key prerequisites If you believe you have the right experience to take on this opportunity, please apply ASAP
