This exciting Management Accountant role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is keen on applying their financial expertise in the not-for-profit sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the Accounting & Finance department, based in Leicester. Client Details Our client is a highly recognised not-for-profit organisation based in Leicester. Their mission is to provide exceptional experiences that inspire learning and a passion for exploration. The organisation is known for its commitment to innovation and sustainability. Description Prepare departmental Profit and Loss reports. Manage project accounting and submit grant claims. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany analysis. Support year-end processes with financial statements and working papers. Maintain an accurate fixed asset register aligned with governance standards. Work with budget holders to produce accurate forecasts and budgets. Complete monthly management accounts on time. Post journals, including accruals and prepayments. Analyse performance against budget, forecast, and KPIs, identifying trends and providing actionable insights. Present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Submit gift aid, VAT, and National Statistics returns. Provide finance team coverage during absences. Profile Skilled in Financial and Management Accounting. Experienced in year-end processes and preparing working papers for financial statements. Background in busy finance teams, with flexibility to cover multiple roles. Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills. Effective communicator, confident in presenting financial data to senior management. Proficient in finance systems and MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
