Graduate Estimator Location: Hybrid between London & Home Salary: Competitive Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday What you’ll do: As a Graduate Estimator, you will play a vital role in supporting our estimating team by preparing accurate, competitive, and tailored quotes for our Clients within the rail and infrastructure division. You will review incoming quote requests to fully understand project requirements, calculate costs, and liaise with subcontractors to gather competitive pricing. Additionally, you will assist in developing innovative and sustainable estimation approaches, ensuring our proposals align with client needs while driving value. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects and build expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced industry sector.

Key Responsibilities: Support the estimating team with quoting, including: Reviewing incoming quote requests to understand the Client’s requirements Calculating the required costs to complete the work Obtaining quotes for any works to be sub-contracted Preparing and submitting quotes to Customers Support with the implementation of new processes and tools to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the department Review feedback from submitted quotes and make recommendations to support increased hit rates, profitability and drive cost optimisation Oversee secured projects to ensure costs remain in line with our forecast Collaborate with internal departments to understand the different divisions & market conditions Active involvement with developing new sustainable and innovative ways to estimate What we’re looking for: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Excellent communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience Why join us: Career Development Focus: We’re committed to supporting your professional growth with clear career paths, training, and tailored development programs, including our GC Leadership Academy, job specific accreditations and higher education opportunities.
