We're the largest port operator in the UK, managing 21 ports through England, Scotland and Wales and handle £150Bn of trade annually. Our Humber region is comprised of 4 ports (Hull, Immingham, Grimsby and Goole) and combined handle around 50 tonnes of cargo annually. As part of our Ready For Tomorrow strategy, we've created a new role in the Humber as a Project Engineer to support with delivering a more positive environmental impact and supporting our investment in the UKs clean energy transition. The role will have a key impact on developing conceptual projects and moving them into live projects within our private HV Network of 143 Substations. These projects will include EG&S, sustainability and continuous improvements to the HV Network. Key Accountabilities: Develop and deliver Electrical Projects throughout the four ports in the Humber region. Keep up to date with all safety regulations and new technical innovations to provide advice and support to the Engineering Department. Carry out project works to include conceptual design, feasibility and design. Assist with providing expert guidance and support for day-to-day electrical problems. Identify and prepare cost estimates for both present and future electrical engineering works. Liaise with property and commercial teams to assist in developing engineering solutions from initial feasibility through to delivery. Diagnose faults (first line) and solve problems and equipment. Key Requirements & Qualifications: Degree qualified to BEng Level in a relevant electrically focused subject. Knowledge of multi-site/multi-tenanted private electrical networks ideally from a DNO or client side background. Computer skills (Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook). Full Driving licence. Previous experience/understanding of site coordination roles and responsibilities with respect to Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015.
