Job role: ICT and Engineering Instructor Location: Trent Acres, Kings Bromley Hours: 24 hours per week; 3 days 8am - 4pm Salary: £15,825 per annum Contract: Permanent, Term Time only Start Date: September 2024 UK applicants only. As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an ICT and Engineering Instructor to join our close-knit team at Trent Acres School located in Kings Bromley. About the role To take a leading role in teaching ICT and Engineering. To work under the guidance of SLT to raise the standard of ICT and Engineering across the school. Review, monitor and adapt curriculum matters in order to ensure a challenging, engaging and appropriate ICT curriculum is being delivered to all. To share the school’s values and ethos to create a highly personalised curriculum to meet individuals needs in an environment that is nurturing and holistic. Key Areas: To contribute to raising standards of pupil progress and attainment in ICT/Engineering. To monitor and support the teaching and learning throughout ICT/Engineering. Under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher, ensure ICT/Engineering is implemented, monitored and reviewed in order to analyse its effectiveness. To have a solid understanding of the school pathways and ensuring suitable learning is taking place in all environments. To have an understanding of appropriate vocational qualifications and ensure pupils are working towards these in key stage 4 and key stage 5. Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities. Liaise with the Deputy Head Teacher and the Senior Leadership team to communicate subject effectiveness and how this impacts the school. To understand and support the development of appropriate sequences of learning that relate to the needs of learners in each pathway. ICT and Engineering Instructor JD About the school Options Trent Acres School is currently undergoing development and increasing its pupils numbers transitioning from 30 pupils to 60 pupils recently and with approval to open an Early Years Unit and extend our Primary provision. Due to this exciting time for the School the job roles currently advertised are all new as part of this development. The school is purpose built, modern and welcoming with a range of specialist learning areas including an indoor and outdoor riding school and outdoor gymnasium.
