Day shift - 40 hours per week

The Green Hub is Lush's internal repair, reuse, and recycling plant responsible for the important work of processing all waste streams from the manufacturing sites, as well as the packaging returned by customers in our stores. As a goal, we aim to make our internal and customer packaging as circular as possible, making sure materials are recycled back into packaging (closed loop), or cleaned and reused. The Green Hub is instrumental in making that happen.

In the last two years, the Green Hub has received significant investments and is considered key to Lush's vision of leaving the world Lusher than we found it. We have recently moved into a new, significantly larger building in Poole, which will house many of the teams that support Lush's environmental functions, including the Green Hub, Spa Laundry, Product Donations, Repairs & Maintenance, Woodshop and Moulds.

The Green Hub attracts many visitors, including school groups, members of the local council and journalists to name but a few, maintaining a professional manner and communicating confidently with the public is a must.

Support the operational workflow within the department to achieve maximum efficiency. Carry out checks regularly to ensure high standards. Ensuring cleanliness and standards of the department is maintained. Support training of new staff and keep training records up to date. Record data daily and compose information into regular reports. Remain professional & confidential at all times.

Desired Skills:

A flexible, proactive, adaptable, and reactive understanding of the Green Hub. Ability to interact and communicate confidently with visitors. Great computer skills, able to record data and compose information into regular reports. Leadership skills to develop the team and maintain the expected standards. The ability to identify solutions to opportunities and has a can-do attitude and great team ethic. Good English, written and spoken. Flexibility may be required to work different shifts. Knowledge or experience in waste management; however, if not, this should be a subject they are passionate about and willing to learn.
