Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Practice Nurse to join a well-established GP practice in Crawley. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the clinical team, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the efficient running of the practice. This role offers the chance to work in a supportive, friendly environment with a diverse patient demographic.

Key Responsibilities: Provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, including chronic disease management, health screenings, and immunizations. Conduct health assessments and screenings, including blood pressure checks, vaccinations, and general health checks. Support patients with long-term conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD) and assist in the creation of care plans. Administer vaccinations, travel health advice, and general health education. Perform routine treatments, such as dressings, injections, and minor wound care. Support with the management of health promotion and disease prevention within the practice. Take patient histories, carry out clinical assessments, and offer advice on lifestyle changes and disease prevention. Provide assistance in the management of the practice's recall and clinical audit processes. Work collaboratively with the practice team, including GPs and administrative staff, to deliver high standards of patient care. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatments within the practice's system. Adhere to all practice protocols, policies, and procedures in line with current healthcare legislation.

Essential Skills and Experience: Registered Nurse with valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration. Previous experience as a Practice Nurse or in a primary care setting. Experience in chronic disease management (e.g., asthma, diabetes, hypertension). Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with patients and colleagues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Current certification in CPR and basic life support. Proficiency in using electronic patient management systems.

Desirable: Experience in cervical screening, immunizations, and travel health. Additional qualifications in specialist areas (e.g., diabetes, asthma, family planning) would be an advantage.
