SoCode are proud to support a key player in the flow sensing technology space, in their search for a Senior Test Engineer to join their expanding Test Engineering team in Cambridge. If you’re passionate about developing streamlined testing systems for advanced gas and flow sensors then look no further!

Successful candidates will have:

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Science field. Solid experience in test and measurement – with a strong grasp of theory and practical application. Hands-on experience integrating test solutions (preferably for flow and gas sensors) with mechanical parts, electronic systems, and software. A deep understanding of fluid mechanics and gas laws. Proficiency in LabVIEW for test software development. Experience using databases for storing and managing test results (AWS hosting is a plus). Familiarity with source code control, preferably using git. Ability to analyse test results and present findings clearly, with knowledge of relevant statistical methods. Experience in designing test jigs and fixtures with Solidworks or similar. Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 quality systems and lab protocols. What you’ll be doing: Gaining a deep understanding of sensor devices and their performance. Designing and integrating automated test setups for sensor testing, including custom fixtures, software, and databases. Ensuring the accurate capture and validation of test results, making sure methods are repeatable and reproducible. Collaborating with the Data Science team to create analysis, reporting, and visualisation tools for test data. Investigating sensor performance issues, and helping develop testing methods to address anomalies or failures. Mentoring junior Test Engineers to improve their effectiveness and quality of work.
