Manage the delivery of a portfolio of digital strategic projects across multiple teams and departments using appropriate agile and project methodologies to track risks, issues and dependencies. Work closely with Product Management, Business Analysts and Engineering stakeholders to understand the business, product and technology goals and translate these into delivery plans with forecasted dates that we commit to. Facilitate frequent roadmap planning sessions with your teams and stakeholders, applying appropriate prioritisation techniques to the product roadmap, including WSJF and COD to advise our stakeholders on the best way to deliver value early. Ensure your teams understand the project objectives and that you have the appropriate resources and structure in place to deliver, track and report progress. Expertly manage your projects to ensure they are delivered within the defined constraints of time, cost and scope. Expertly manage senior stakeholders and their expectations within the prevailing delivery constraints. Manage relationships and dependencies with technical and non-technical teams (e.g. other Technology, Commercial, Marketing and Editorial teams) and with key vendors and suppliers. Provide ‘servant leadership’ to your project teams. Keep up to date with the latest delivery and technology innovations. Contribute and build the Community of Practice with fellow TDMs. Qualifications
Experience as a Delivery Manager and/or Project Manager. Experience in a Continuous Integration and Delivery environment. Passionate about the craft of software delivery with a strong understanding of the SDLC and agile methodologies. Expert in estimating tools and techniques, facilitating workshops with your teams to produce delivery estimates that all the team commits to. Expert in tracking and reporting tools and techniques, keeping tight control on the progress of your projects, and able to communicate progress in a clear and timely manner. Strong and confident stakeholder manager who provides clear written and oral communications to technical and non-technical audiences as the situation requires. Proactive and tenacious attitude regardless of the challenges that the business and/or your teams may face. Solid and demonstrable experience of digital product delivery in an e-commerce or media organisation, working closely with Engineering, Product, Design and UX teams. Solid and demonstrable experience of agile delivery across multiple teams using Scrum and Kanban. Strong team worker and contributor with clear communication skills (oral and written) who can present to both a technical and non-technical audience and at the executive level. Passionate about the craft of software delivery of quality digital products. Time spent as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner. Strong technical working knowledge of one or more of the following: web technologies, app technologies, or product APIs.
