You will be working with the DSU/Recovery senior team in leading a very strong and dynamic team, providing a high quality of patient care. You will look after patients during their entire peri-operative journey, focusing on their admission, recovery, and discharge from the unit. Job responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Recovery practitioner who can lead as Recovery and Day Surgery Sister at Princess Anne Hospital. The successful candidate will be part of the senior Recovery/DSU team who will lead a multi-skilled and diverse team of nurses and HCA's. You will be working with multi-disciplinary teams with a variety of clinical expertise and will also work closely with the PAH Theatre team in delivering high-quality patient care and experience. You will be joining a very dynamic and efficient team who were recently awarded the Champions / Chairperson's Award in the 2024 UHS Hospital Heroes. Qualifications, knowledge and experience

Qualified Nurse (Degree/Diploma) Registered nurse on appropriate part of the register Significant post registration experience / qualification / training, including experience and knowledge within relevant specialty Ward management experience Knowledge of current issues within acute Health Service Experience in an acute hospital setting Provide evidence of supporting / managing a range of learners in practice Ability to demonstrate clinical decision making and judgement Provide evidence of supporting colleagues to promote effective learning in practice Commitment to the post and Care Group responsibilities Commitment to continuing professional development Experience in handling adverse events and complaints Act in the role of Practice Assessor or supporting the progression of learners / supporting challenges as needed Some insight into budget management Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 a year (Per Annum PA Pro Rata)
