The Physiotherapist will undertake a dual role, providing care for patients under the governance and policy of Defence Primary Healthcare for both Royal Navy Recovery Centre (RNRC) Hasler and Primary Care Rehabilitation Facility (PCRF) in HMS Drake. This includes treating patients from both RNRC Hasler and other members of the Royal Navy Recovery Pathway as service needs require. The allocation of time division between each work area depends upon service need and should be reviewed as required. You are required to ensure the provision of a comprehensive and professional physiotherapy/rehabilitation service for RNRC Hasler personnel. This includes undertaking highly skilled and specialist work in both the complex trauma and neuromusculoskeletal area. Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to: To perform highly skilled physio-therapeutic assessment of patients referred by Consultants, General Practitioners and other Healthcare Professionals with diverse presentations and complex and acute/chronic physical and psychological conditions, multiple trauma, and sports injuries. To use clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis. To formulate, develop and deliver a specialised individualised treatment program using evidence-based practice, manual assessment, and appropriate clinical reasoning. To communicate effectively with patients to ensure informed consent for assessment and treatment, good understanding of their conditions and maximise their rehabilitation potential. Patients may have barriers to communication e.g. English as their second language. Please refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification for the full list of duties. Experience

Must have relevant experience in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions. Registration and Memberships

Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Qualifications

Degree in Physiotherapy plus additional specialist training or experience to post-graduate diploma level or equivalent. £37,338 to £44,962 a year Per Annum (Pro-Rata for part-time)
