We are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse within a fast-paced, complex nursing service in Preston, Lancashire. The nursing service is like a mini hospital and provides Residential Care, Spinal Nursing Care, Acquired Brain Injury, Complex Nursing, and Palliative Nursing Care.
We are looking for an RGN Registered Nurse (or RMN/RNLD with hands-on clinical skills) to work as a Registered Nurse on a flexible shift pattern, working 4 weeks of day shifts and 4 weeks of night shifts on rotation, working 3 shifts per week. The hourly rate is £20.25, with enhancements for bank holidays and overtime.
There are 35 nursing clients in the service across 2 nursing units, and a minimum of 3 RNs on duty on day and night shifts along with an experienced team of 18 care/support workers on nights.
To apply for this role, you will have excellent clinical skills. Full training will be provided in any areas you need refreshing on, as your role will include tracheostomy care, catheter care, syringe drivers, PEGs and NG feeds, venepuncture, NIV, cough assist, deep tracheal suction, and complex wound management. Any of these skills can be taught in-house, so we are looking for an RN with an aptitude for learning and someone who is keen to develop. You will receive a thorough induction including supernumerary hours on both days and nights with excellent support from the well-staffed service.
You will receive an extensive internal and external training package. The service offers Deaf awareness training, advanced tracheostomy training, autonomic dysreflexia study, and tissue viability courses, to name a few. You will also receive training and qualifications in immediate life support, verification of death, and specialized wound care. Our client is very committed to upskilling their nurses.
