Job summary

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5/ST6+) in Radiology at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) to commence from 06 August 2025 until 04 August 2026.

Main duties of the job

Sub-specialist interest sessions (80%):

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to obtain training in a sub-specialist interest with a preference for Chest/Cardiac Radiology, Gastrointestinal Radiology, Gynaecological & Uroradiology or Oncological Radiology. This includes learning relevant interventional oncology skills (biopsies and drains). General radiology sessions (20%):

Reporting chest and body CT, hot seat plain film reporting, general US, presentation at clinico-radiological meetings. The post holder will also be expected to participate in the Senior Radiology Registrar on-call rota, currently a full shift pattern, albeit with Consultant supervision. This timetable will be flexible and chosen by the candidate to include sub-specialist reporting sessions as well as multidisciplinary team meetings.

Requirements

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of commencement is required.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
