About the Organisation: Derby Aboriginal Health Service (DAHS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) providing holistic primary health care services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in Derby and surrounding communities. About the Position: The Senior Medical Officer is responsible for providing clinical care in DAHS town-based and remote clinics, ensuring medical support for DAHS SEWB services, and contributing to the maintenance of high-quality health services as a member of the DAHS multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include: Provision of clinically and culturally competent health services to DAHS clients. Clinical care in line with regional best practice standards. Line manager for General Practitioners and Registrars. Participation in clinical audits. Providing leadership and engaging with stakeholders. Assisting and supporting with supervision and teaching of GP Registrars, junior doctors, and Aboriginal Health Workers. About You: To be considered for the position, you must meet and address the following criteria with your application: RACGP, FACRRM fellowship or equivalent. Current AHPRA Registration as a General Practitioner. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health sector. Demonstrated knowledge of the Medicare Benefits Schedule. Strong organisational skills. Current National Police Clearance. Covid-19 vaccinated. Special Requirements: Regional travel required including off-road and air travel. About the Benefits: Attractive remuneration package including a base salary of
