As a result of re-alignment following an organisational change programme, coupled with major new contract wins, exciting times are ahead for this global market leading PLC.

Recognised for delivering technical solutions to OEM's and end-users, the company manufacture critical components for power transmission equipment used in drive-train applications within Marine Propulsion, Mineral, Oil & Gas Extraction, Mass Transit, and Metal Processing Sectors.

Role

Responsible for inspection and reporting on the company's products using Static CMM and Romer Arm Machines as well as measuring tools - (Verniers and Bore Mics.) Ensuring compliance with customer requests including material and chemical data sheets and liaison with Team Leaders & Operatives to ensure smooth operational performance. Conducting investigations for production non-conformances and supplier rejections and contribution to the internal and external auditing program. Maintaining relevant Quality Systems including calibration and inspection, together with developing product traceability processes within the business. Co-ordinate external testing, material returns and together with assisting with the resolution of Non-Conformances, highlighting trends and suggesting improvements.

You

Should ideally demonstrate experience from within a precision engineering CNC production environment with awareness of stringent tolerances and compliance schedules. Understanding of manual machines should include, lathes, gear cutting, grinding and milling processes coupled with the ability to read engineering drawings. Appreciation of Lean Manufacturing concepts with an understanding of H&S procedures and legislation with the interpersonal skills to enhance inter-departmental communications.
