Here at Lifeways in Bucknall, we are looking for Support Workers to join our fantastic team. Ideally, you will have previous experience in Care/Support Work; however, if you are new to the role and have a passion for helping others to lead their most independent lives, then Lifeways can offer you excellent training and ongoing support to enable you to enjoy a rewarding career with us.
There are currently 16 people we support living at Queen Oaks Court. We support people with a number of diagnoses including learning disability, acquired brain injuries, epilepsy, autism, diabetes, and Down syndrome.
This is a very active service and there are a lot of community activities. The people we support like to be busy and engage in activities both in the community and within the service, including hosting parties and BBQs in the garden. We also have people we support that attend day centres and go to work in the local area.
We currently have 3 people we support that require assistance with personal care, as well as a number of individuals who require prompts to maintain good personal and oral hygiene.
