Senior Pricing Actuary
to join our growing and developing Global Specialty Lines team. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment, engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders across claims, underwriting, and finance teams. Reporting to the Group Head of Specialty Pricing, you will contribute to delivering case pricing, developing pricing tools, and conducting actuarial studies to support informed business decisions. Your New Role : Gain a thorough understanding of business drivers to provide informed actuarial insights. Leverage and refine systems and procedures to ensure the use of accurate data and deliver impactful analyses. Develop and maintain robust actuarial models, processes, and technologies, ensuring consistency and efficiency. Ensure adherence to documentation, legal, regulatory, and actuarial standards, meeting all internal and global reporting requirements. Collaborate with the Group Head of Specialty Pricing to align actuarial processes with evolving business needs. Pricing Development: Create and refine pricing models while reviewing premium and rating methodologies to ensure their robustness and validity. Case Pricing: Conduct actuarial pricing and risk assessments for complex reinsurance treaties across all specialty lines of business. Partner with underwriters by providing portfolio and market actuarial analyses to inform strategic decisions. About you: Experience working within the Specialty Lines of business is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Confidence in influencing decisions and contributing to discussions both directly and indirectly. Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools, with experience in developing models tailored to business needs. Familiarity with Python is an advantage. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to work with and interpret complex datasets. Progress toward or completion of an actuarial qualification.
