We are recruiting for a temporary Portfolio Business Lead (Portfolio Accountant) to work on site at one of our centrally based departments starting ASAP for approximately 12 weeks working 37.5 hrs p/w and paying £20.38 p/h.
Duties:
This role is responsible for financially managing the pipeline of work for the Oxford University Capital Projects, including some of the largest and most exciting building development projects being undertaken in the higher-education sector right now.
The Capital Projects team require a reliable and tech-savvy 'numbers whizz' to track, manage, update and maintain the Capital Projects financial pipeline, as well as supporting the team with other Capital Projects expenditure and cost-related tasks. This role will also include: Liaising with Capital Projects Finance team to troubleshoot/work through any issues. Liaising with the Divisional Project Offices to update project pipelines and spends. Portfolio-level financial reporting. Fee recovery. Reviewing project PEAs (project cost outlines). Process development and amendments. Additional charges. OUFAL and VAT issues. Essential Criteria An advanced proficiency and high-level of experience working in Microsoft Excel including using elements such as: Pivot-tables. Auditing formulas. Using advanced formulas. Macros and VBAs. Aggregation functions. Experience with accounting software is essential (Oracle, Sage, SAP etc). Knowledge of Oracle system is highly desirable. A high-level of professionalism and the ability to engage appropriately with senior leaders is crucial. Reliability and the ability to meet deadlines is critical, as this is a pivotal role in a large programme of work. Please be aware that all candidates need to be able to start work immediately and must be able to work on site if required to do so.
